Lady Reivers Win Big in Opener of the Tip-Off Classic

When the ladies from Malcolm X College walked on the the Kanesville Arena floor you just knew the Iowa Western's Women's basketball team was going to be in for a fight.  The Lady Reivers answered the bell with a big knock-out punch in the first half.  The Reivers scored early and often jumping out to a 48-15 half time lead.  More of the same the second half and the Lady Reivers claimed the second win of season with a 92-29 win.

The Reivers were led in scoring by 5'9" guard Airelle Eldridge with 15 points.  Also in double figures was 5'10" guard Tempestt Wilson with 12 points, Omaha product Tanesha York tallied 11 and starting point guard Amber Petereson rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points. 

Iowa Western Community College women's basketball team plays there second game of the Tip-Off Classic tommrrow at 3:00 PM.  The game will be played at Lewis Central High school because the finals of the NJCAA District Volleyball championships are being held at Kanesville Arena.  The Lady Reivers will be playing Briar Clifff University J.V. team.
